Counseling office
Parents make an appointment for the
IEPSP Counseling office by telephone. When coming to the
Counseling office, parents must bring health card, birth
certificate, and discharge papers from maternity hospital, and
their child’s previous medical documentation, if such exists.
Counseling office has a team of experts: speech pathologist,
teacher of the deaf, psychologist, developmental
neuropsychiatrist and, according to need, neurophysiologist.
Counseling office activities are carried out in compliance with
standardized procedures. During the sixty-minute checkup and
observation, early diagnosis is made, and according to need
additional diagnostic procedures are introduced (bacteriological
findings, biochemical findings, EEG maps at task, food
intolerance test, peptiduria test etc). Once an early diagnosis
is made, initial plan of audiolinguistic treatment (ALT) is
established, and therapist in charge is assigned. According to
the results of audiolinguistic treatment, a therapist can make a
control appointment for the correction of ALT, additional
diagnostics or final control before discharge. |
