Institute for Experimental Phonetics and Speech Pathology (IEPSP)
is a scientific-educational institution of multidisciplinary
orientation and holistic approach to researches of sound,
hearing, speech and language, behaviour and learning in normal
and pathological states.
IEPSP
follows contemporary trends of scientific thought and new
technologies through biomedical engineering in the area of
hearing and verbal communication. Basic IEPSP activities are:
scientific-research work, public health activities, development
of manufacturing of electroacoustic apparatuses, education and
culture. In order to cover such a large variety of activities,
IEPSP employs highly educated staff - doctors and magisters of
science of different profiles.
IEPSP
realizes its activities through: research-developmental units,
polyclinic service, Center for quantitative language researches
(founded in collaboration with the Laboratory for experimental
psychology of the Philosophical Faculty in Belgrade), Department
for the culture of speech and Educational section. On the
territory of the Republic of Serbia, Institute has Centers for
hearing, speech and language. It applies its scientific results
in the development of KSAFA system for early detection,
diagnostics and habilitation of speech and language in children
with impaired hearing, speech pathology, and behaviour and
learning disorders, as well as in promotion of the culture of
speech and education of staff dealing with hearing, speech and
language, and behaviour and learning from different aspects.
